Fun Facts:


According to “FILM; Malcolm X: The Facts The Fictions, The Film” on Wednesday, November 18th, 1992 the movie titled “Malcolm X” directed by Spike Lee was released. The movie was 3 hours and 21 minutes long. The movie shows Malcolm’s life based on "The Autobiography of Malcolm X," published by Alex Haley in 1965.

According to “Little, Malcolm (1925-1965)” Student Resource Center Gold, Malcolm had six sisters. He was the only boy in his family. Malcolm got his first conk (which means getting your hair coated with corrosive chemicals to straighten it) right after he moved to Boston to live with his half sister.

According to “Malcolm X” Biography Resource Center: African Americans, Malcolm met his wife Betty Dean Sanders at the Brooklyn Sate Hospital of Nursing. They married in 1958. Betty was 23 and Malcolm was 32. The later had six children together. All six were girls. Their names are Attalah, Quibilah, Ilyasah, Gamilah, Malikah, and Malak. Malikah and Malak were twins who were born after their father’s death.
